We´re thrusting ourselves into a discussion about culture and culture shock: how do you define a "culture", and what does it mean to be "shocked" by it? I´m standing before a group of twenty-fiveish third-grade students of English at upper-secondary level. Not everyone is able to grasp the issue at hand immediately, and even fewer feel the thrill of talking about this at all. After a while, however, we´re getting into it and we start talking about assumptions, cues, values, attitudes, manners and etiquette.
